This
eastern Mediterranean island is rich in natural beauty,
has a wide variety of rare endemic species both in flora
and fauna, magnificent ancient sites, as well as a healthy
climate. The traditional hospitality of the inhabitants
and a high level of services all make it attractive

Cyprus
is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and
covers an area of 3572 square miles. It is 160 miles
across and 60 miles from top to bottom, at is wides
point. The population is approcimately 706.000.
Since
the 1974 "Turkish Invasion", the Island has
been divided with the self-declared independent "Turkish
Republic" in the north and the Greek-Cypriot Republic
in the South. The Island enjoys a Mediterranean-type
climate with average daytime temperatures of 32C. in
the summer and 16C in the winter.
